Early Education Teaching Positions (Full & Part Time)

Applicants should have a passion for children's safety and development along with a love of creating engaging and innovative lessons that allow our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Teachers will be expected to incorporate hands-on learning experiences into the classroom with enthusiasm. Job Responsibilities:
- Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on state, local, and school standards in early education.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, hands-on learning, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of methods.
- Differentiate lessons when needed to give all students access to the curriculum regardless of ability, instructional level, English proficiency or level of interest in the subject.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom by modeling expected behavior and standards and promoting positive interactions.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or another related field (recommended)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Comfort in a team environment

Next Generation Preschool & Transitional Kindergarten encourages candidates with a passion for teaching and a gift for inspiring young minds to contact us year round. Applicants must have a solid understanding of the state curriculum standards and have experience working with children ages three through five. STEAM Studio Teacher (Full Time)
Next Generation School allows open submission of resumes for the following positions:
- STEAM Studio Full or Part Time Teacher
A full or part-time STEAM teaching position is available for a highly motivated individual to join Next Generation School for the 2022-2023 school year. We are seeking applicants who have an enthusiasm for planning and teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through an integrative project-based learning approach.
We are looking for an individual with elementary or middle school teaching experience who has a passion for creating inquiry-based lessons. Major duties will include designing novel lessons that incorporate the fields of STEAM, being a lead teacher for the STEAM Studio program, and collaborating with other teachers to produce multi-disciplinary and hands-on projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing and teaching primary science lessons as well as after-school STEAM enrichment classes.
- Collaborating with experts in the Champaign Urbana Community.
- Working with the STEAM Studio Teaching team to develop and create cutting edge science lessons.
- Communicating with families about the exciting learning opportunities in the classroom and student growth.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Teaching Certification in elementary or middle school education
- Experience with inquiry and project-based learning is an asset
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Comfort in a team environment

STEAM Studio Bus Driver
Next Generation School allows open submission of resumes for the following positions:

STEAM Studio bus driver for children ages 5 - 10 years
Next Generation School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our after-school STEAM Studio enrichment program. Bus drivers will work closely with the administrative team and teachers to provide quality care for elementary students from their schools to Next Generation. This position includes driving a 14-passenger bus from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in the local Champaign-Urbana area. There is potential for additional hours assisting the classroom teachers and administrative team. Previous experience working with children and daily availability is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely shuttle elementary students from their schools to STEAM Studio from 1:30 - 3:30 pm
- Provide a welcoming environment for students
- Complete daily bus safety checks
- Report any bus maintenance issues to administration
- Communicate with administration about any student attendance changes
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Comfortable working in a team environment
Hourly rate is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
